PRINCESS SANIA SHER
PRINCESS OF PUNIAL
Her Royal Grace Princess Sania Sher, also known as Lieutenant Princess Sania Sher, stands as a remarkable figure in both the royal and military domains of Pakistan. Born on December 13, 1998, in Singal, she faced a heartbreaking tragedy at the tender age of three when she lost her parents in a car accident. Following this devastating event, she was raised by her aunt, Princess Gul Samin, in the Royal House of Ayasho, where her aunt and her husband embraced her as their own, providing her with a nurturing environment that significantly shaped her character. Nine years later, her brother, Prince Sameer Shah, the Prince of Punial, was born at the Aqa Shah Palace, and from an early age, Sania took on the role of his caretaker and guardian, fostering a deep bond characterized by love and mutual respect. Throughout his formative years, she offered him unwavering support and guidance, laying the groundwork for a strong relationship that would endure as they matured. Sania’s educational journey began under her aunt’s care before she attended Bahria Foundation School and College in Gilgit, where she excelled in her studies and completed her matriculation. Her academic path continued at the Pakistan Naval Model College in Islamabad, culminating in her earning an FSc and later a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bahria University Islamabad, which reflects her commitment to personal development and education. In 2017, driven by a desire to serve her country, Princess Sania was selected for training at the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi, where she demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, eventually being commissioned as a Professional Officer with the rank of Sub-Lieutenant. Her military career flourished as she was promoted to Lieutenant in 2020, marking a significant achievement in her journey as a respected officer in the Pakistan Navy. In 2021, under the Dastoor of the House, Prince Sameer honored her with the title of Princess and the style of Her Royal Grace, recognizing her vital contributions to the royal family despite their lack of blood relation, a gesture that underscored the deep bond they share and the respect he holds for her role within the family. On September 30, 2024, Sania celebrated a new chapter in her life when she married Captain Muhammad Amin, an officer in the Pakistan Army. The occasion was marked by a grand buffet organized by Prince Sameer at the PAF Officers' Mess in Nur Khan, where heartfelt tributes were paid to both the princess and her husband, showcasing the love and support of their royal family. Princess Sania Sher’s life journey reflects resilience, dedication, and the enduring importance of familial bonds, serving as an inspiration to many as she embodies the ideals of commitment to family and duty, transitioning from personal tragedy to becoming a pivotal member of the royal family and a respected officer, thus highlighting her exceptional character and the legacy she continues to build.
